Sobriety Holidays is a brand new concept founded by two sisters with a mission – to provide fantastic sailing holidays in the sun for people who prefer that alcohol isn’t a part of it.

You can explore the unspoilt Mediterranean and Aegean coast of Turkey aboard an elegant and traditional Turkish Gulet, sleeping in a cabin with en-suite facilities completely fitted out in modern luxury, perfect for the sun worshippers who can play the movie star!

Alternatively, take the more challenging option aboard one of their many sailing yachts, where expert sailors can take to the helm themselves and beginners can learn with an experienced English speaking captain.

Travelling with a small group of friendly, like-minded people Sobriety Holidays gives you everything you’d expect from a luxury holiday, with the added bonus that you enjoy everyday without hangovers, and remember it all afterwards!

Your meals will be prepared on board using the freshest of local produce to create a mouth watering selection of traditional Turkish dishes or alternatively you will dine at secret restaurants in secluded bays known only to the locals (all pre-arranged and alcohol free). Naturally your captain and hostess will ensure there is no alcohol on board, but the bar has an unlimited supply of fruit juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee and water – just click your fingers!

Sobriety Holidays appeal to teetotallers, people who prefer to avoid the rowdiness drink can sometimes cause, and those who’ve had a bad experience with alcohol in the past, including recovering alcoholics.

 

 

The idea for Sobriety Holidays by Julia Wyatt, Managing Director, came following the intense personal struggle with alcoholism and eventual recovery of both herself and her sister Sandra. This gave her the inspiration to start a company offering holidays for people who didn’t want alcohol, and who better to work by her side than her sister! Its also why a proportion of the profits will go to St Patrick’s in Hove, East Sussex, a halfway house for the recovering homeless.
